In-Vitro
Fertiization, or IVF, as it's called, is typically more expensive and
less successful than our technique of Laparoscopic Tubal Reversal.
We believe our technique should be the first choice for most patients
who underwent tubal ligation.
If you had a Tubal Ligation you have two options to achieve pregnancy:
Tubal Reversal and/or In-Vitro Fertilization.
On average, an IVF cycle will cost you $12,000 with an average success rate under 22% per attempt. If your first IVF cycle is not successul, you will need to pay another $12,000. If you want another child via IVF, you will need to pay $12,000 per attempt again. For those who are otherwise fertile but have had tubal ligation sterilization,
we believe our technique of laparoscopic tubal reversal should be
the preferred treatment. Our technique:
• avoids the possible complications from drugs used in IVF
• reduces the risk of complications due to multiple pregnancies
• costs only $10,000, generally less than even one IVF cycle (let alone multiple cycles if, as is likely, the first IVF cycle is unsuccessful)
• provides success rates as high as 79% if
you are 35 or younger
Multiple births are another risk with IVF. IVF requires visits for ultrasound to monitor egg production, a visit to retrieve the egg(s), and a visit to put the fertilized embryo back into your womb. If you have a job, you will need an understanding boss. If you are a stay-at-home mom, you will need childcare. The time committment with IVF is enormous, the risks are high, and the expense for one attempt is enormous.
Remember, our technique is performed by laparoscopy. This means:
• no big scars
• no overnight hospital stays
• no long recovery
